Sitting high above the town of Carpinteria among Avocado orchards, native chaparral and sandstone boulders, this beautiful home with stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean required a more contemporary approach. With a reputation for native plant knowledge and innovative designs, KD was selected to enhance a few select areas of existing native shrub and succulent plantings. Once the ideas started flowing, however, a simple planting consultation quickly grew into an exciting major redesign of the entire site! The property includes the following gardens: a native grassland entry drive, a native meadow, silver garden, orchards, succulent garden, native hillside garden and spiky garden. The landscape improvements are ongoing so check in later to see more garden areas as they come on line.
